Roberto Antonio, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
In 2015, I made the decision to move to Miami as an international student to continue my studies at Florida International University. In 2018, I graduated with a Master’s in Landscape Architecture and four months later I started working at an amazing landscape architecture firm, Witkin Hults Design Group. Every day at work, I interact and learn from extremely passionate and hardworking professionals, most of whom are women.
During a startup meeting in November 2018, Elizabeth Van Dillewijn shared her idea about starting a non-profit organization that would help young women. She extended an invitation to the ones present to be a part of the initial team. After she explained her goals and the general vision of the Foundation, I was immediately infected by her passion and believed in the great impact the organization would have on society. Knowing it was just a matter of time for her idea to become reality, I did not hesitate in taking the opportunity to join the team and I was ready to provide all the help and support needed.
